Mr. Suzuki worked as an Air Traffic Control Engineer for the Ministry of Transportation (now the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) for about 12 years. He passed the patent attorney examination in 1989. After retiring from the Ministry of Transportation in June 1990, he worked for a major patent firm in Tokyo, he established Suzuki & Company in 1992.
He is currently a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JAPA). He has served as a permanent member, chairman of the Software Committee (1997), project manager of the IP Management Consulting Committee, director of the IP Value Evaluation Committee, lecturer on patent specifications for members of training institutes (7 years), member of the steering committee of the Japan Intellectual Property Support Center (participating in events organized by local governments, etc.).
Taught intellectual property-related courses at a university and graduate school for seven years.
Member of the steering committee of the Intellectual Property Management Center (intellectual property management consulting, etc.).
Expert member of the Japan Intellectual Property Arbitration Center (jointly operated by the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and the Japan Patent Attorneys Association).
He provides support for MOT, branding, technology development strategies, etc. for client companies.
